water in boot

Post by BIG-DAVE02 »

right heres the problem, i have noticed that there is water in the bottom left corner of the boot the corner below the tail lights ( its a 5 door, if it matters). it seems to be coming from the join of the rear metal of the car to the inner wheel arch. i have removed the plastic clip to expose the light cluster and put my hand down but nothing is damp. it is now starting on the otherside in the same place. its not the drainage pipes as they are secure and not damp. im contemplating removing all of the trim on the rear quater as well as the bumper but thought it may be easier to as you guys and see if you could help. i will try and get pictures to show exactly where the water is coming from.

cheers
Dave

pics would really help, you could also get someone to spray the car with a hose pipe while u hav a look inside and see where its coming from.
OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts

Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!

I had same problem with water in my boot and I took the plastic trims off from the bulb change part in the boot and there is a plastic tube that should be connected into a rubber hole. This is so when the car gets wet the water runs down the runners and into the the plastic tubing and then the water leaves from under the car.
So my guess would be to have a look at the plastic tubes and check they are connected :)

also check the rubbers seals around the boot, or the runners at the top of the car by the roof rack clips
