corsa issue

have a slight problem
im guessing its an electrical problem because the engine is fine
i tried a k&n cone filter n im guessing its either knackered the air flow meter or the egr valve
ive put the standard airbox back on, disconnected the air flow meter to see if that was the problem, was still running like a tractor and sounded like a bag of poo
so i think its might be that the egr valve is blocked but im not totally sure
im going to give it a good clean when i get chance to see if that is the problem
if its not that either what could it be ?
