Hi there,

I am looking to install an after Market remote central locking kit to my car. The kit I have seen is on eBay at £16.99, and claims to be easy install - DIY. My question is has anyone ever put one of these kits on their car? Do they work like a proper RCL system and are they as easy to install as it says? I am very amateur when it comes to electricals so please bear this in mind! :-)

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Mark.

I installed one on a peugeot 106 before, the most pain in the bum bit is getting it looped into all the hazards ect.

Hey,

The kit came today from eBay. All looks good. In the box I have :

Main receiver box
2 x key fobs
Bunch of wiring

Tell me If I'm being stupid, but I was under the impression I would need electronic pistons in order to activate the mechanism when the button is pressed? Or is this only the case for cars without central locking?

Cheers! :)
Mark.

That's great mate thanks. I'm thinking it's gonna be easier to wire from the fuse box rAther then Patching wires all over the place in the door? And do you know if corsas work on a negative/positive switch?

Cheers for your help!

Mark.
