right, i thought i might aswell put up a project thread for my project thats seemed to have over taken my corsa. hope you enjoy the photos. i only got this on the 7th febuary, and started taking it apart on the 8th.

when i got it,
Image

started taking it apart a day later,
Image

then did some more another day later, and found some rot, that iv had to cut out and re-weld,
Image

Image

drivers side with bump stop off which was held in with newspaper which had the rear 2002, and bodyfiller, and rot half cut out, and you can see the exhaust hanger mount cut off due to more Rot both sides, and a wasp nest.
Image

another view of the rear exhaust mount hanger on drivers side, with rot cut off, but i also need to cut the bottom off, but i need to suport the rear cross member first otherwise the axle will drop off lol
Image

then did some more welding a day later, 12th febuary,
Image

then on the 17th febuary iv done alot more, removed the seats, and the gearbox covers, and finally got around to removing the engine, and i did some more welding at the rear end, and i have chipped alot more of that black tar stuff of aswell.
Image

Image

the amount of stuff thats been cut out and chipped off and fell of my land rover,
Image

and a photo with the engine out finally
Image

then on the 18th iv done this,
got it stripped,
Image

its on its side so i can get around it easier :)
Image

more rot cut out and welding done,
Image

some more i found after poking around,

well, iv got two weeks off now, so i can get alot of work done to the chassis so that should all be welded up and braced, then just got to do new seals in the axles, and a bit of tinworm in places on the body work, sooo give it two months i should have it back together i hope! with the engine change in place, but dont count on it

build it and keep it i guess, iv already got a 1956 series 1 land rover  just doing this up means i can put the 200TDI engine out of a discovery in it, so it'l have 111bhp before i turn up the boost on the turbo and turn the fuel up so it should be about say 125bhp ish thats alot more than what the 2.25 petrol was giving out before around 50 or something stupid  and it'l be faster on the road and just nicer to drive.

on this series 3 i think because it was part of the MOD, i think its been sprayed nato green, or what ever colour its called, but yea i'd like to keep it the same as it is now to be honest. but i dunno, i want to paint the chassis orange so it stands out
