Need Help/Advice

i need to know two things,

a 1998 1.0 Corsa, im an apprentice mechanic and i thought they ran on timing belts but a fella selling one says it runs on a chain. Im sure that theres more than 1 valve thats bent if the timings jumped.

Is it a belt or a chain and is it worth the money he's asking for it?

it is a cam chain, and well its doesnt look too bad, and if your feeling up to the job then go for it, try and bring him down on price tho obviously, but if your feeling up to the challenge then go for it

to be honest if i was to keep it then i'd just pull the 1.0 out and put a bigger lump into it lol thanks for the reply
