Sounds like the MAF mate. Do you suffer a loss of power on hills etc? And the light comes on?

Its the air flow meter, in line with the airfilter box with a plug onit. Not majorly expensive, get one from scrappy or give me your address il send you one to try to make sure its that so your not wasting money.

Yeah. Deffo sounds like the MAF mate. I drive the 1.0 too bit you'd be surprised how much of a difference it makes with the problem fixed! Mine refused to go over 60mph without a battle when mine went!

If the light comes on at constant throttle the it could be the egr. This was what my fathers ecu code indicated after it happened to him. A quick clean and all was good after.
His only did it on motorway runs!

I cannot find any pics at the moment but if you google cleaning corsa egr valve you should find something. Its on the left hand side of the block just below the connection for the coil pack.
You could fit a blank plate under it if you want to get rid of the problem permanently.

I did a how to for a 1.4 on another forum, gives you a rough idea.... on yours i think the EGR is mounted on the side, near the battery..
Quick how to:
First job get a new gasket from Vauxhall - about £2 ....
.... next job is to go to the car and remove in the following order , battery , fuel pipes and servo vacume pipe then coolant expansion tank and you should be left with this - the EGR is circled .....
....and here it is closer up ....
It has two T45 torx bolts, the near side is easy to get to, the offside is nigh on impossible - you have to do it by feel - lots of trial & error .
With the EGR now removed you can see where it sits on the inlet manifold ....
... and here it is closer up - you can see the far bolt hole ....
There are two variants to the EGR on the 1.4 16v....
Use carb cleaner and give the EGR a good clean, i used a small stiff brush to clean in side.....
Once clean.......
... put the new gasket next to the EGR and bolt back to the manifold.
Put the plug back in the top and put all the fuel and vacume lines back on tight, put the expansion tank in and replace the battery.
If your memory aint so good, make a note of any pipes you take off.
If you want to blank the egr off, then source some suitable plate metal .....
.... and use the gasket as a template .....
... and cut out and shape , file and drill so that it matches the gasket exactly ....
... then put the plate next to the EGR, new gasket and bolt back to the manifold.
I think you can get blanking plates from vauxhall too.

I have same sort of problem. Can't afford to change everything. If you would lend me your good one I would try it and then send it back to you
