Car is overheating after 5mins of use, needle getting close to 100 degrees so stop thecar and allow to cool down!
Checked everything i could think of:
Coolant - Full
Oil - Level correct
Checked for blockages to the Rad (squeezing pipes) but still didnt help.
Only other thing i can think of is the thermostat is fecked..... wher is this located and how do they come out?
Anyone else got any suggestions please let me know can\'t drive car at mo

Stuck blowers on full didnt help things, infact it made it worse thats why i have a feeling the thermostat is fecked or sticking
Just don\'t know where they are...... been told:
\"Be in a big fat pipe going to the cylinder head\"

Does the heater get hot??
The engine getting hot fast is either a jammed thermstat, (shut) or head gasket.
But do the simple thigns, flush the collant system and put in new fluid, check the fan cuts in and the gauge is wired in correctly. as any addiditonal resiatnce makes the reading go higher.

Does the heater get hot??
Heaters get very hot, (only usually go cold if there is no water?)
The engine getting hot fast is either a jammed thermstat, (shut) or head gasket.
Knowing my luck with the car at the moment will be the head gasket

Well you can easily remove the thermostat to see if that makes the engine run normally well cold really.
Although a car normally takes 10-15mins to warm up.

Oh right, the thermo stat on the 1.2 8v is located on the back of that alloy section. It\'s hard work as you need to slip off the cam belt first to get access to removing the thermo stat.
