Just within the last week i have had a problem starting my corsa, and today it finally decided to just not start, when i am turning the ignition key, its ticking over but isn't turning the engin on, the battery is fine and charged i have plenty fuel in the tank and oil, does anyone have any ideas on what it might be and has it happend to anyone else?
Thanks for your time. Luke

its either your starter motor is knackered, or your battery is old and worn out even tho it says its full with 12v. try a set of jump leads or second battery on it, if that doesnt work i'd say it was your starter motor, or what you mean ticking over? is your engine rotating? or is it just going click click click click?

Well i got it started eventually using jump leads but i took it for a little drive around my block and when i was at a junction, it started to rev on its own and when i turned the engin off after that and started it straight back up it took a little while but eventually kicked in and started if you know what i mean?

oh what would be worth a look is when you turn your get ignition on you get the dash illuminations and check to see if your ecu light comes on, because if it doesnt then check you have a bulb in there, as someone might have taken it out as it was on and they couldnt be arsed to fix it, then they sold it to you, and now its misbehaving by reving itself on its own at times, or something
