Clutch Pedal / Cable

Hey folks,

I hope someone can help, the clutch pedal has come away from the cable on my Corsa. I managed to place it back in but something seems to be missing cause when I push down on the clutch it slips again. I am not sure if anything is missing, tried searching on the net to see an pictures of what it should look like but no luck. Seems straight forward and would be easy to fix but have no point of reference what the correct way to do it is.

Here are some photos of the clutch with the cable,

Here is a better image of what the clutch looks like,

If anybody can help with this I would be very greatful.

Cheers

If your problem is the same as one I had, cable pulling through the plastic retainer, I cut a slot out of a large washer and slipped it over the cable so it wouldnt pull through the plastic. my first attempt fell off so I cut another one tighter to the size of the cable, meaning i had to force it over, it now does not fall off and(touch wood) has been fine since.
I had to slacken the cable off on the adjuster under the bonnet as the washer made it too tight without the adjustment.
Malc.

Cheers for the reply, only saw it now. I was thinking something like that could fix the issue. Do you know if the end of the clutch cable is meant to look like above in my pictures. Just checking on the web and the cables look like they could have a barrel at the end of them, that makes much more sense to keep it held in.
