Cobra alarm system

I have a cobra alarm system and today when I finished work my bat was dead. I jump started the car but for about 5mins after my indicators were flashing. I know from previous experiences it is the alarm that causes it to flash but Im not sure why.

It is still doing it when I open a door, or lock/unlock the car. Anyone got any explanations for why?

And also when I first got the car the cobra system would lock my doors automatically when I switched on the ignition but it no longer does it. Hasnt done it for about a year now and I still cant work out why.

Ur indicators flash to inform you the alarm's active or inactive i think, also can you reset your alarm ? , try disconnecting your battery for an hour so see if resets itself by itself, that may sort it out. I'm only guessing has i don't have this alarm on my corsa, so ur choice to try my idea or not ok, just trying to help you out :)

Dont leave your positive (red) cable off your battery, if anything metal touches it, will spark like no tomorrow. Just take the black (Negative) off.

Always best to take the neg off though, cuz it's the ground. O well, just dont get dodgy sparks goin everywhere, be careful ;)

Might aswell remove the battery aswell just incase it touches, then remove the fuel tank cause you dont want to risk it, then dont park under any large trees or metal sheeting, you know what lightening can be like!!

Found an easier way to do it on yahoo answers, just hold both buttons on fob until it resets. Any suggestions on the whole not locking with ignition starting?
Think it may have something to do with the lock thing on the door doesnt come up properly anymore but it did when the alarm lockd them with the ignition

Well glad you reset your alarm, always take off the negative 1st then your safe and then take off positive making sure if dosen't touch the body or you may blow a fuse/fuses on the car.

Could you be in the car and arm it, then push the doorlock down as far as it goes, then unarm the alarm, and then it should pop up fully, this might sort it out.
again only guessing but worth a try to see if it fixes it 4 ya. :)

Not sure about fuses, could either get replacements if they blown or try another one of your working fuses in it to find out what they for, making sure to use one that's the same ampage or you blow it.
