So there was a lot of noise coming from my rear wheel, so I thought I'd take a look at the bearings. The bearings were in good condition, but I found a long thin spring wedged in-between the inside bearing (the big one) and the drum.
The wheel is working perfectly now, no noise, I'm just a bit worried that the spring has fell of something important (brakes) and I don't know what it is.
The spring is about 1mm thin and about 4 inches long, does anyone recognize this as being a part of something in the drum or maybe a part of the oil seal or something?
Spring found in bearing, where did it come from?
