Vavle in Engine Bay

After successfully locating my ICV, i spotted somethin i didnt recognised in my engine bay.

Just below the throttle body and above the cam, there is a small valve with a dustcap-type cover on it. Hmmmmmmmm....

Curiousity set in, so i decided to press it an see what happens. Nowt. Stumped, i came to the conclusion that it might be more fun to try it with the engine running

When the valve is pressed and the engine is running, it squirted petrol at me.

Although very entertaining, i figured it would be an idea not to press it again in case i was doing some harm.

Can somebody fill me in on what this is and what it is for? Looks exactly like a tyre valve with a dustcap on the top

it is the bleed valve for the fuel line

also is used for testing the fuel pressure

put dust cap back on and leave it

lol i found it funny and had nobody to share it with so glad you guys liked. all part of the learning process though i suppose
