red oil substance

hi as you look at the engine block from the front of the car to the right is the battery and clutch cable just behind is a block with 3 step lke things these 3 steps keep getting filled with this red stuff everywere i go i have no idea what it is were its coming form or what not can anyone help please!

could be gear box oil, have a sniff. gear box oil usually stinks like poo

yeah got powersteering and it doesnt smell like poo haha!
