Will a faulty oil pressure sensor switch stop the engine from running ?

no it wont mate it might bring the oil light on tho.

Have recently replaced the crankshaft sensor,car was running fine then stopped all of a sudden ! Found oil leak from the pressure sensor,removed it,cleaned it,replaced it and the car run again,well for a wee while anyway ! Maybe crankshaft sensor again ! Only 4 mths old !

you have the light come on, on the dash for the ecu?

what engine have you got? as you can do the paper clip test to get the light to flash on the dash, that then can be de-coded on here with the list of codes and that'l tell you what your problem is, what engine you got first as some engines you cant do it with.

you cant do paperclip test. what exactly is happening?

i replaced the crank sensor constantly when i had one of these

Got it sorted,new crank sensor did the job,tks all
