The clear plastic disc behind the dial on my aircon switch is broken so the lamp is permanently illuminated. I can put up with that but is this the only function for the clear plastic bit? Can anyone tell me by pulling out the dial to switch the air con on what part does it activate? How does it work in other words?
My aircon hasn't worked since having the car and I was going to get it re-charged, but I don't know if it is the clear plastic bit that switches it on and off or something further down the shaft? I've been looking for a new dial and shift but there isn't many air con ones about.
