attempt to repair the old corsa

Right I recently asked for advice on here and i said i would make a thread up on how to fix a throttle body.
Well I got stuck right into my corsa and checked these three items, The MAP sensor, The throttle body (and all the sensor that go with it) and the EGR valve.
The initial fault was the car was sluggish had poor throttle response and was hesitating like F***
Well I firstly checked the MAP sensor as i had a spare one from a previous vehicle i worked on, was not that
I then took the throttle body off and found it was very clean and everything was free etc.
So i tried the EGR valve and found it was clogged up. So i cleaned it with brake cleaner but sadly I wrecked the gasket so i cant tell if i have cured the problem or not. I have photos of everything i have done but sadly my usb lead is at work. Will make a photo guide tomorrow after testing the car with the gasket on.
Cheers Dan
