Corsa 99 (B) 1.0 idle probs but not the ICV

Guys,
I have a 99 Corsa 1.0l and recently I have been problems with the idle revs running very low and stalling at junctions and roundabouts, etc the car's Engine managment light comes on but only when coasting in gear downhill.
I looked on the forums and thought it could be the idle contrtol valve purchased a new one had it fitted and it has not made any difference.
At first it did make coasting down hill in gear possible but this morning when coasting in 4th down a long hill back came the engine managment light so put it into nuetral and the car stalled (i say stalled more like revs dieing then cut out) as I was moving dow the hill !!!
Any ideas guys ?

It's also impossible to start unless I give it some gas the engine turns over but just no revs ??

My car is doing exactly the same, I've been told it could be crap in the carb "/

if you installed a new idle valve you will need to clear the previously logged faults otherwise the car will assume theres still a fault and run in limp mode
try disconnecting the battery for half hour then try again, if not someone with a tech 2 to clear the faults then give it a try
ps i can say 100% that it wont be a clogged carb, as all corsas (unless modified) are fuel injected

after the engine has cut out does it start up straight away or do you have to wait a few minutes before the engine will start up again?

Ok so so far I have change the air mass, complete clean out opf the EGR valve & throttle body replaced the idle control and the TPS (throttle posistion sensor) its better but now over revs to 3000 when I put the car into nuetral and even when I dpress the clutchto change gear it shoots up.
code shows as P1510 please help it's getting expensive !

Could it be the wiring loom on the idle control valve ?

have you had the fault codes reset?
did you wind the idle control valve all the way in before you fitted it and give the engine time to set it up when you first started it up

try unbolting the idle control valve but leave it plugged in so it still works but cant adjust the revs and see if that helps.

in responce to when you added them parts and you said it was reving at 3000..
did you dissconect the battery for over an hour, then when you reconnect it will auto adjust to find the right balance.
did you try a different coil pack ?
