is it possible to have power steering on my B?

as above? not sure and dont know if its been done, i would love power steering but DO NOT want a new car.
if so, and people know its been done, what will i need to get??? and how can it be done!

I am sure it would probably cost a fair amount but I think EPS would be the easiest way
(Electronic rather than hydraulic)
You will need the steering Colum, frame, control box and all the wiring.
Unfortunately I wouldn’t know how to fit, although I recon fitting would be the easy part as for wiring it up....?
Best bet would be find a car simmler to yours (engine wise) as a donor

ah sound ok, my bf is a mechanic so maybe its worth a try??? i will have to post how it goes if he ever manages to get round to it!!

yea if you have a 1.4 16v it is possible to fit hydraulic power steering, as they came with this standard as mine did, you just need to get a power steering engine mount and pump from another 1.4 16v at a scrap yard then swap them over and measure up for a belt and go to a local motor factors and get the right one.
