Hi i got a 1.4 8v 5 door its mainly used for the school run so very practicul just want it to look a bit better than it did when i first got it, so far i have de badged her, had to chop front grill out as it was the old style bumper!! hofman straight through sports exhaust, gives it a nice crisp tone cheap cone filter with home made induction kit looks crap but sounds nice . tinted the rear lights and side indicators........trying to make good of what i have got as 2 kids do tend to drain on the old resourses can't afford any alloys just yet so re sprayed the old wheel trims black partly to hide them but also think they look better in black ...... i bought some lowering springs which turned up saturday was told they were a 40mm drop.......turns out the fronts were 60's but not sure the backs were 40's as it not dropped as much as i expected doesn't help running on 13's though!!!! ill post some pics. comment and ideas would be good... good and bad thanks for looking peeps

Had to do photos this way when i tried the normal wey it said could only upload upto 800 megapixle?? anyone know how to??

got my 60mm on the front now but the back 40's turned out to be standerd ones painted red! so just bought some more off pricer on here should have them by next weekend so will update with pics when it don't look like a wheel barrow pmlol

How did you tint the side indicators ?

im going to half to do the same on my bumper as soon as i have time!

im going to spray them black anyway because they look like they been sunwashed! LOL

project school run sounds good i tinted the side indicators and rear lights with black bumper paint from halfrauds not sure how it will get on mot time though so do it at your own risk lol i did only give them a very light covering i'm all about doing something for nothing ........i know what you mean about 5 doors but for me its ideal don't have to keep getting in and out when the kids are getting in especially when its time to drop them off at school when its raining i'm alright jack

I Was Thinking On Doing It On The CHEAP....Steal a Pair Of My Missus Tights And Lining All My Lights In Them! Doesnt Look Bad Actually Iv Seen It Done Before! And You Can Always Take Them Off Come MOT Day!

oh sh*t why didnt i think of that never seen the tight job done but have heard about it post a pic if you do.....the other advantage is if your fan belt goes you got tights to use to get you home you could also rob a bank in disguise

Sub Has Come But No 6x9's Or Amp Yet! Cant f**k Wait!

welllll i got 6x9's in now but i did have 12inch sub and box with an amp...buuuuuuut the wife kept moaning it was too lound the kids loved it but the final decider was when there wasn't enough room for the sub box amp.......and the dog!!! i was all for selling the mutt but decided to get rid of the sub and box and just keep the 6x9's with the amp just a case of disconecting the 6x9's when i take the dog out .....am having strange ideas of taking the spare wheel out fiberglassing the space putting in a false mdf floor then dropping my nice 12inc sub straight in to the hole.....covered with either mesh or a nice piece of perspex so the dog can't f**k it up

tried to debadge my grille! made a mess of it!

how did you manage to do it so good? haha

oh gutted! i just cut along the groove either side of the joint if that makes sence with a stanley knife then gripfilled bits of off cuts to the inside of the bumper to block the holes then just p38'd over to smooth it off to be fair when i cut it out and saw the holes i did think oh s**t iv'e f****d it up lol

im looking for some metal mesh now for the front! should be easy to fit!

got my mesh from j-mart was only a tenner halfords wanted 25 if you got the bumpers off the car you could fiberglass it on properly..........but if you are like me and bodge everything then cable tie it at the top so when the bonnet is closed you cant see them then i hooked it over the original nobboly bits on the bumper had a steady 90 on the motorway and was still on there when i got back you got any pics up yet?? i'll check your log
