I\'m thinking about a new inlet manifold for my 1.2 16v i have been told i can fit a 1.6 GSi manifold but i need one from a earlier GSi and these are hard to find and extremely expensive. i was told by a friend that a 2.0l may fit but he wasn\'t sure about the compression ratio which has to be 10:0:1 and whether the fitment will work. any advice on what i could do would be great.

the x12xe is comepletely different to the bigger 14/16XE\'s and the port spacing is wrong on those, the 20XE has even wider port spacing in th ehead and the runners will no line up.
the CR being 10:1 is fine, you could raise it to 10.5:1 but the returns will be minal and the hassle of doing it maximal.

i\'m having a adapter made now to fit the 2.0l manifold jujst gotto get it on n see if it works not sure if the injectors will handle the extra turbulence tho

will do when it finally gets done its gonna be an arse to do apparently but hopefully give me a fair bit more punch, i want a conversion now i been offered a 2.0let for £400 with everythin needed for fittin from a lad who wrote his calibra off with back end damage but my insurance company won\'t touch me with it and i cant afford the brake upgrades n coilovers i\'d want n need if i ad that in.
