Hi Guys,
Took car in for MOT and it failed on emissions, high Co2 and low o2.
EML had been coming on when going over 60-70 so went and took it to have codes read, showed up as o2 sensor, cleared codes, drove round block to get light on again, re-read codes and o2 sensor showed up. Car runs fine for a 13 year old car! When light comes on, goes off again shortly after and does not lose power.
Bought new BOSCH o2 sensor today and having it fitted tomorrow. Should I be able to put it straight back in for MOT retest or do I need to have the code cleared again? If so, on my model, can I do this by disconnecting the battery or does the garage need to do it?
Thanks
Scott

take negative side of the battery off to get rid but the eml is not a mot failure untill next year when new law comes in
If its not bodged then its not "propper"
