Thought this could be made into a sticky

Use it to disscuss what parts or modifications will effect insurance.
I personaly havnt read much into it, but im keen to mod my car yet at the same time i dont want to find out that its increased my insurance far too high.

If you have more experiance about this topic please post. It might be good to list your own modifications and if it effected your Insurance.

Good format to follow might be like this ...

My Modifications

Alloy wheels - No effect
New standard exhaust - No effect

other people may want to post about induction kits, lowering the car, adding spoilers and side skirts etc.

Getting a nice insurance for the car is very good and we must first do some research regarding that like we must look at the premium which shouldn't be too high and other terms and conditions offered by the insurance company.

On the bike, I'm usually told 'anything that doesn't increase performance' doesn't NEED to be mentioned, but with cars they like everything declared.
