1.0 12v MPG

Have got our 2000 1.0 12v running nicely now, all serviced and used as a daily drive. 10 miles to work, 10 miles back.
Had probs with the thermostat which was causing the engine to run cool - so have fitted a new stat and all is fine.
Thing is that the MPG isn't as good as I was expecting. I haven't done a brim to brim check as yet - but it just seems to be using about £25 worth to do about 150 miles - which is coming in at 30 mpg.
I'll give it a good check over but was wondering if there is anything obvious to look for.
Thanks - Rob
