Hi there, recently purchased a backbox for my corsa but if I fit it straight on the box will be facing diagonally out of my bumper. what can i do to allow me to fit my backbox on straight, eg, exhaust bends or flexi. Anyone who has fitted a backbox with an answer please post since i dont really want a side swept exhaust

you could either cut your old inlet of your exhaust off and weld it on, or make up your own using a piece of pipe,

all that requires welding :/ i dont have the equipment for that and i'll be damned if i let a garage charge me for work i can do myself, your suggestion is clearly correct but im not sure i can do that

can you not just take it to a garge and get them to bend the pipe? either on the back box or the bit on the car?

i got mine done at a local garage. they cut off the old backbox, took the 2 hook mounts of it and welded them to the new backbox. then put them in the rubber mounts behind the bumper. welded 3 bits of pipe together so the exhaust was as i wanted it to be. it took about an hour and a half so it doesnt take too long really. its worth it as you get it done correctly and as you want it.

How much did that cost you?

it was £40 but.....the guys dad who owns the garage is a good mate of mine so i got 'mates rates'
but im sure if you go to a garage they can do it quicker as we were a bit slow with it all. so it will cost you about the same. best thing to do is to ring around and try and get a rough price

If you spend a little bit extra or buy a second hand one that is made to fit a corsa b so no need to get it fitted, just follow the guide on here how to fit it
i bought mine for £40 and then it took me half an hour (doing this for the first time) to get the old one off and the new one on... im no good with car stuff and its not hard

yeah, £40 is good for a corsa b exhaust. the cheapest ones i found where about £85+ on ebay. i got a universal one for £35 so it kinda works out the same price inc custom fitting.

I have decided to cut of the inlet from the stock backbox and clamp the backbox onto the existing pipe using exhaust paste as well of course. Doing it today if the weather clears up, will post a photo if I am successful, cheers for all the answers guys
nice to know people are willing to help.
