I started driving my car (corsa b 1.2 8v) for the first time and everything was running fine, i went out the next day filled up about a hour later my car decided to die on me gave it throttle and it just cuts out. Checked all the spark plugs they were very sotty n wet got it running the next day witch i thort was fine drove it for a bit the engine managment came on and off and the car was very juddery when i tried to accelerate, got it home and now my plugs are continuesly sooty and wet and to start it i have to hold the throttle right open for it to start and it even then it has very low revs and seems to sound like its mis fireing but all the plugs are sparking good, and when i leave it to tick over the car dies down becomes very judery like its running out of petrol i go to accelerate and it cuts out. :meh: Can anyone help please!?

I have checked the lambda sensor and gave it a clean changed my plugs air filter oil filter and petrol filter and put Red-x in the tank buts still hasnt done anything :/ oh and one other thing my back box is getting extremly hot! when the car is running i held a rag about 2inchs away from it and it melted the rag!

if the engine managment lights been on there should be a fault code, try the paper clip test..........

Thanks for the reply/advise matt, i got the car put on a diagnostics machine and i have 5 faults they are as followed; knock sensor, coolant temp high, map low, quad driver sensor, and the injector voltage low the garage said the knock sensor is most probably from hard driving, map low and injector voltage low is probably from where the battery was low and it got jumped, so they wipped the ecu, but do you know where the quad driver sensor is and what it does? paul
