but obviously only tint the rear lights with the tint spray, and remove them from the car to make it easier, and dont tint the front ones, well you can but the light emitted from them will be CRAP lol

Tinting your front lights might get you pulled by the cops and also at night not good to see where your going either.

Tinting rear lights can also be dodgy, as other cars might not see that your brakeing so don't over due them :)

i'll testify that with my girlfriend the other night - some1 had completely blackened out his rear lights and it was nearly impossible to see his lights thru them on a dark and very wet motorway. my advice if you do smoke them is 2 simply upgrade the bulbs to brighter ones. shud cost less than a tenner from halfords ebay or anywhere that sells bulbs and u'll have the peace of mind that people behind can see you :)

i looked into all this before i did mine and i found that the legal limit for the rear lights in 2 layers. just put 2 heavy layers on and you'll be okay. i havent had any trouble with mine, the lights are still easily visable. i want to do my headlights as well but i think its a case of just one light coat so it doesnt change the bulb effectiveness but still tints the lights slightly. i didnt bother taking my lights out, i just left them in and covered the car in newspaper as the screws on one light were a bit awkward to take out and get back in. if you do spray them have a hair dryer so you dont have to wait too long and make sure you dry each layer so the paint doesnt run.

got some pictures of how i did it to give you an idea. turned out well imo.

i did this to both lights, i got a small bit of card, covered it with tape and newspaper to cover up the reverse light just to make them unique.

and this is how they turned out.

it probably would but im not sure how they would look if they were sprayed inside, it might not be as effective. you could always get your hands on some from a scrappy and give it a go :) when i did mine i cleaned them before i sprayed them and with 2 thick coats they seem to be the same since day 1 :) i guess it depends on what spray you buy. i used this....

yeah its worth a go. you could get some tail lights for a fiver, have a little experiment with the spray and see how it turns out :)

It looks nice but can i be honest?

Personally i LOVE red rear lights on red cars lol it blends naturally. Its a great job wat u done and the reverse light idea is clever but smoked lights for me work well on sertain colour cars like black, blue.

Great job though does look smart lol
