hello im a new member in here got a problem,
fitted a new alternator yesterday undid the bolt on the auto adjuster to gain access to alternator bolt and didnt realise the thin strip of metal in side the belt adjuster spring was snapped at the bottom where it should of been attached to the fitting for the bolt to go through.
the spring and bolt flew off so now cant get the spring and bottom bolt back on tried a g clamp didnt work and dont have a small spring compressor ,
i guess will have to replace the full adjuster fitting are they easy to get off and how do you do it dosnt say nothing in the haynes book about replacing them only belt adjustment and replacement any ideas any 1 and how much are the roughly,,need help plz many thnx
