X12XE Engine Parts - For overhaul

Well folks,
At the moment i have a 1999 Corsa 1.2 16V - X12XE.
Im saving up money to buy all the parts i need to overhaul the engine. Remove it, strip it, replace parts and rebuild.
Ive been searching online with the likes of Ebay mainly for parts and its gona cost a good lot of money.
I asked a local suplyer in Northern Ireland for a price list of parts i would need to do the complete overhaul, this includes everything from gaskets, tools, valve stems, piston rings etc. and asked him to be as competitive as he could as i would rather give the money to someone local than paying out online and having to fork out for postage etc.
What im thinking is, if other members with 1.2 16v X12XE engines are planing to do an overhaul could we pool together so i can go to the local supplyer and say..
"OK i need all them parts but i need 4 of each, what disscount can you give me" - this is an example that might work out cheaper for all of us.
Some issues with this method may be, members not having the money and may pull out which leaves me stuck with a bill
And of course postage costs to post all items out in a big box to members living in England.
At the end of the day its an idea i had that might or might not work out.
What do you guys think ???
