I don't think a 16 will fit in the wheel well.

Yes that has occured to me with the extra tire size, probably just carry it in the boot i guess, or could use holts tireweld to manage with if get puncture :?

theirs nou't wrong with standard spare wheel really, as again its only the outside rolling radius that would make any difference. PLUS its not as if you would be driving for weeks and weeks with one spare on anyway.

Only problem is my spare's a 14" wheel and the others are 16" so difference in size, thought all had to be same size for safety.
It wouldn't even touch the ground been smaller, also wouldn't want to be using spare for weeks, get it sorted as soon as pos.

IT'S THE ROLLING RADIUS that's all that matters! And tbf for the little time you'll be running a spare it won't hurt the car at all as if your stupid enough to go like 1 tonne in a corsa or drag race in a corsa with a spare wheel on you want a slap.

It's also having the correct size spare wheel, if you drive a car with a spare wheel on that's smaller than the other wheels on it, you can damage the tracking, my father has experianced this from doing it and i don't wish to follow in his footsteps and find out lol, that is why i would prefer to have a spare same size as the rest, that's it.

You can use and do it your own way, np there m8, that's your choice :)

Also would not be dragraceing or speeding along with a spare wheel on, just using it for emergency to get me home, taking it easy.

Also found this about spare wheels on the net.

Technically it is illegal to use a wheel and tyre that does not match the other tyre on the same axle. Even if the tyre is the same size, or the same overall diameter, the wheel may be a different width or offset.

I must admit its a hard 1, my dad was unsure of this last year so he rang the local police and asked them if it was illegal, they said no, but my gf had her alloys acid dipped and resprayed they came back and one was crap so we sent it back, the M.O.T was due and it failed because the wheel we put on was smaller lol...
