Is it possible to fit the c16nz engine out of the earlier vauxhalls into a corsa b without too many problems ?

nath on here is currently fitting a 1.6 8v in his so yeah is possible

yeah it will, just need all wires etc and just change the mounts to your mount, as all the holes in the same place, i have no problems yet im just strting put mine back together now

Oh cool I weren't sure on the engine mounts and that.

Just out of curiosity what gearbox and driveshafts you using with the 1.6 engine?

the original box with came with the engine, and the shafts off my 1.2 as you will find most low engine corsa shafts are the same, if im correct

Ahhh wicked , I did think the 1.2 and 1.4 driveshafts were the same but weren't sure on the 1.6 as they weren't fitted to the corsa's .

Cheers for the advice nath , will you be keeping a project log of fitting the 1.6? Would like to see how you get on as it's something I'm quite interested in doing to my car.

i think all the shafts are the same through all the models, apart from the lengths, and yeah my project log is under VXR2008, call Blue to Orange Gsi rep
