ICE system not working!

Hi All
Basically My amp has no power going into it. (4 channel 3000W BSE amplifier) wired up with a 4 Gauge Vibe wiring kit
the things i have tested are as follows -
> Power wire - firmly attached to positive battery with inline fuse less than 2 inch from battery
Fuse is not blown, tested for continuity with multimeter. Pulling 12V when engine is off, 14V when engine on
> Ground wire - only 7 inch long, connected directly to a sanded, bare metal part of the chassis
> +12V remote turn on lead. Crimped and taped securely to +12V remote turn on from Head unit
pulls 0V when stereo is off, 12V when stereo is on
All three were hooked up in this order - Ground first, then remote turn on, finally Power from Battery
Fuses in the amp were tested for continuity, both fine
There are no lights for power on the amp, no protection light either
Tested a second 2 channel 500W amp, same as above
Tried with no speakers/sub connected, still nothing. tried a different RCA lead - nothing. tried no RCA lead - nothing
The thing is....it all worked fine before i made one change. i needed the boot space and the amp was sat freely in the boot. i screwed it to the back of the sub box and screwed the sub down. now im stuck here!
i have removed the amp from the back of the sub box back to how it all was before the issue appeared, still no luck.
i thought i could have damaged the sub by banging a screw through something, but the amp should still work wired up without the sub attached.
any ideas on what to test next?!!
