got in car today and speedo not working has anyone got any ideas

year of the car?
could be a broken cable if its cable driven or just a broke sender if its electric

same problem guys.changed engine,and gearbox,now speedo dosent work.using sat nav atm.lol.gearbox is a f20 5 speed. any help hear to.??

your's is probly the sensor nackered on the box id change that first and make sure all connections are good
