Corsa Premier Issues- HELP

Hi there, i'm new to this forum so excuse me,

I have just bought a P Reg 1996 Corsa Premier for £300
i just need some advice on a few things

1. The idle on the car seems a bit rough, it idles at around 8-900 rpm, but every 2 seconds it drops revs slightly and picks back up- any help?

2. The engine taps quite a bit, it's a noticable tapping sound coming from the engine

3. The gears feel loose, 1st is where you'd expect neutral to be and it can be a little stiff going into gear and feels a bit loose changing gear

if your still around....
2, most 8v tap, just make sure it has oil and it should be fine (i take it, its a 8v seen as its a P)
3 thats gear linkage bush'es, they are 22 pound from vauxhall, or poly's are 12 from LMF

1, will be some thing do with intake, or check spark plug's and get new lead's easiest and cheapest opinion's
