Clutch problem...

Post by gazza_no7 »

Ever since I got the car the clutch pedal has been seriously high compared to the other two and it is quite stiff... Sometimes it is really soft but feels too soft and the pedal is still high when it's soft...

Any help on what's wrong? Should I get a new clutch and cable or just the cable?

Did you try adjusting the clutch cable so its inline with the other pedals.
When i fitted the new clutch on mine me and my mate had some laugh with the clutch pedal near to the roof !! was some laugh. just adjusted the clutch cable and was grand.

em well i was in the seat checking the pedal and pushing it to the floor to release the tension and mate was adjusting the nut/washer thing on the clutch swing arm took us a few goes to figure out which way to go with it and to get it level with the rest. but got there in the end.

It's about 2 inches higher than the other pedals...
