My 2000 Corsa is losing oil somehow!

I am having to put new oil into it about once a month. By new oil I mean fill it up (4/5 litres) as after a month of using the car it has virtually all gone.
If I don't check it regularly the engine will seize up!
It is not a leak (no oil patches on the drive), it isn't in the air filter or the water coolant.
My exhaust is a normal looking colour, so I can't understand where it is all going?!
If you have any suggestions or help please let me know!

If its not leaking out of the engine it must be burning it. Could be rings or stem seals.

That's what I thought but it doesn't seem to be coming out of the exhaust, although I can smell some burning oil when it's running in the garage on tick over. That would mean I'd have to get the engine taken apart?

U can't allways see it some times when ur stopped a bit of smoke will overtake u. Yea it would need a rebuild. Depends how much u like the car u could get it done or just live with it.

I'm gonna look out for that, I'll probably just live with it a bit longer and then sell it and get a new car eventually. It's only my first car after all

try to take out ur spark plugs, if they are black then clean them with wire wool, put them back in, fire it up and rev it if its smoking then, its a deffo gonna might aswell scrap it when it dies, i kept just cleaning my spark plug over and over agai until the engine f**k up!
