Which is the best way to go, spings or coilovers? In terms of like practicality, comfort and handling?

Depends on your budget... Low budget I would say shocks and springs, but if your spending a lot then coilovers

Lower budget would be taking a grinder to the springs

You can get coilovers £150 posted its what I done. I would stay away of buying the £50 springs because you use the standard struts and shocks and yeah at fist they are the cheapest option but they will 100% wreck the struts and shocks because they are standard an not designed to be as low as the springs let them causing them to reach the bump stops and in 6 months you will be replacing them.

Personally lowering spring an shock kits from eBay or the extra few quid and replace with adjustable coilovers to suit your needs.
