Help Front Lowering springs GAP!

Hi,

right i am needing help and in the middle of lowering my corsa B, :shock: problem is the front springs rattle in the shock, obviously when the weight of the cars on them everythings ok, now i've been told that iff the springs loose when the cars jacked up it will fail its mot.

Anyone had this problem before, iff so what did you do to solve it.

What size springs have you used? And are you using the normal shocks?

Lol Yeap im using the standard shocks and 60 mm springs, the rears fine its just the fronts

You should be using shortened shocks really... So your problem is that the springs are too small for the shocks :)

okay i should invest in some,

but has anyone on here, put the 60mm springs on the standard shocks?

okay i have done some re search, if i secure the springs with a cable tie at the bottom of the shocks this will make them secure and not rattle around as much. will this pass a mot? any ideas?

No that will not pass as it will come un seated when jacked up and u
May find that the rear springs will come out when driving very dangerous.

My mate did it and it was terrible ride and was dangerous so he got some updated shocks to cope with them :) they aren't expensive for a second hand set :)
