Hmm, the back window and 2 rear sides are done but does anyone know the legal percentage of darkness you\'re allowed on the front and if your allowed to tint the front windscreen too?

legally your WINDOW TINTS infront of the b pillar must allow a minimum of 70% VLT* altho a while ago the lightest tint film only allowed 50% VLT* altho that might not be the case now. i\'ll see if my bro can ask his mate who tints windows about it. so its luck of the draw weather you get pulled or not with tints on your front windows. but if there too dark 30% VLT or less you can be made to pull them off at the side of the road.



*VLT = Visual Light Transmission

cant have any on the front unless its standard on the car(out of the factory)....

i got my fronts done 50% and its fine passes mot and cops dont care. u mite b able to go lower i fink 30% is limit though.

yeah i have my fronys done very lightly, but it is still illegal, some places are obviously stricter than others, there is another topic on the from somewhere about it

Front 3 have to let 75% through and that\'s pretty much standard so you can\'t touch them forward of the b pillar unless you want hassle from the cops and could void your insurance if you crash (they\'ll say your window\'s were illegal and not pay out). You can go as black as you like on the back 3.

Its such a grey area these days, as u can tell from the responses your gettin, which range from no tints, to 50% darkness.

i wudnt even bother round here banni as the cops r reet barstewards bout it.my m8 gets pulled everyweek in darlo for it by the same cop but some how blags it.lol.but i personally wudnt bother jus go for the combo corsa look like me lmao

Whos your mate from darlo? Coppers from darlo arnt too bad, i know people who have had illegal tints on and the coppers have just ignored the fact there in. Although i suppose it depends on the coppers.

its 75%vlt on the the front three n standard are 70% so it aiint worth doin unless you want to risk it yoyu never know if the coppers are gonna be bothered until you get pulled
