I would get 195/45/15 tyres mate, if you are going to be lowering it this is what you will need :)

195 is the width. On a 15 inch rim like those picture above then 195 is a good size. Typical tyre sizes would include 195/50/15, 185/55/15 and 195/45/15.

I have my Corsa B lowered on coilovers probably sitting 50mm and both the 195/45/15 and 195/50/15 fit fine with no rubbing (I've two sets of alloys). The 45 profile is quite low, and more expensive so I would recommend 195/50/15.

Check the inside of the rim, it should say something like 6 x 15 et49. If so then a 195 tyre will fit. You can put different widths and heights of tyres on a rim but they must be the correct diameter eg R15

I would say 45 give a worse ride than 50 due to lower profile.

You need 45 profile anything larger just looks wrong.

Wrong is a bit harsh.

Based on the fact the op is buying second hand alloys, he is wanting value for money, and 195/50/15 tyres are simply better value for money as well as working just fine on a corsa b especially since he has a wheel with right offset.

We will agree to disagree. Whatever price you get 45s for you'll get 50s for £50 cheaper.

And anyway if you put Nankangs on your car you've got bigger things to worry about.
