New & already need help!

Hi guys iv not long got my hands on 1994 Sri 1.4 16v x14xe, iv came across a few small problems, 1st off the speedo dosent work, iv took the cable off & it turned no problem, so I put a screwdriver in the back of the clock & the needle never moved but the mileage slowly did so is the clock had it? Also it's not goin over 4000rpm any ideas on that? & finally the rear fog lights don't work, I press the switch & they come on but once I let go of the switch they go off??? Any advise would be great, thanks

get new clocks
and foglight is common problem just put some wd 40 round the switch n press it few times till it stays on if that fails breakers yard for new switch

Check the fuel lines from the tank to the bay and see if you can spot any sharp bends as such on the fuel lines. I've heard of people having revs limitation due to their fuel lines getting squashed. On the other hand it could just be your accelerator cable, do you have any play on the pedal before the revs go up? I'm wondering if it might need adjusting.
