First I know nothing about cars, I just know a lot of people who know about cars so when I bought mine I left them to check it was OK ish
I have a P reg Corsa B I bought it end of June with 80000 miles for less than £500 so I was aware that something might go wrong at some point
Recently it intermittently judders and rattles which you can make go away by getting the revs up before changing gears, and it settles down once it's in higher gears and better speed, it's worse when it's low on fuel. There appears to be a little leak which (apparently) looked like it might be the Rocker Cover Gasket except that was changed very recently, various ideas so far are could be HG but I'm not drinking water or oil or blowing smoke or anything, someone else suggested checking it's actually firing on all 4 cylinders have done the Lambda sensore was waiting to change all the other bits n bobs that aren't massively expesnive and a lovely mechanic friend is goign to check the whole car properly next week, except I'm not sure it'll make it to next week Today it's very hot under the handbrake/gearstick which I hadn't noticed before so unsure if that's new or just part of the same problem getting worse :( I love my car I've only got as far as lowering the fromt nothing else has been done yet and I really want to work out whether to get rid now or if I'm imagining the worst when it might be little things (wishful thinking??)
