Hi all.

I'm not educated in mechanics as such and my main aim of this project is to know how cars works and I have learnt quite a bit already lol.

I bought a 1.2 8v shell that had a c20xe in at one point, he blew the engine up going at 8.5K revs according to the seller, anyhow the purchase includes a c20xe engine, gearbox and a few other bits.

I have a small unit near my house that I renting out which also has a pit.

Anyhow, garage:

When it came:

Plans:

C20xe
Perspex boot window and rear 3/4's
Battery relocation to trunk
2.0 brakes (already bought, just need hubs to fit in)
Need to replace doors from the originals (which have no glass and have had the metal cut out) to normal ones with glass.
change springs to tarmac ones
fit windscreen lol.
fuel tank needs fitting
needs alot of work still including trying to find out what each plug is for in the bay lol

Once it is fully finished and when I get used to the feel of a 2.0 I will drop a let into it

and I changed the n/s door too:

Lol. Yeah, I've got a 1.0 arden blue on the side which I am tired from in terms of speed lol and I have always had in interest of building my own car so yup

Just waiting for:

Engine mount,
mtec equal length shafts (300bhp ones),
Conversion Hubs,
recaro rare fishnet bucket seats,
Push start Switch panel,
Lightweight "race" battery + relocation kit,
Fuel lines and tank,
Initial brake lines from servo (already have the braided ones inside it)
Caliper paint (Blue)
and lexan sheets
my portable soldering iron (only have wired ones atm)

... to arrive lol.

Then I need some other bits and bobs. Will be refurbishing the alloys in jet black with a red lip and some tyres (low profiles) on. And need to change my springs at the front to tarmac ones. A lot of work is left including a semi rebuild of the Engine. Only bad point is that I can only work on it at weekends :(

My aim is not to get as much power possible but to have the corsa shell immaculate and strong ready for a LET and make sure there is no rust at all on it anywhere.

Thanks.
