Corsa 12v

Post by LamboD »

my friends corsa exactly the same as mine is having severe running problems, the car is stalling when stopping, becoming slightly harder to start and also it brings a EM light when it is coming to a halt, im suspecting either AMF meter or ICV? do any of you have a suggestiion or has this happened to you, his car is in better condition that mine im ashamed to say and he is starting to get to the point where he doesnt want to drive it no longer, also, is this a common fault on Corsa-B 1.0 12v Merits as that is what we both have. thanks in advance

Do you have access to op-com so you can read any fault codes also you can look at live data readings

i have access to a Modus however he is never free when i have the access to it, i am based in Mansfied in Nottinghamshire, we have got it running slightly better but it is sstill showing em light and stalling, the car has only done a small amont of milage compared to mine and people are telling us to swap out icv over to see if that cures the problem, would that be an advisable thing to do? me and him are hoping to et mine MOT'd soon so we can fo out on cruses and we cant do tht if the car isnt running properly, is there an easy way to keep the car running when it trys to stall or should we just let it stall and start it after, it is always fine for about 30 mins after a stall, my tutour at college who is training me for my last year with Level 3 is telling me to replace the air mass flow as he says this is a common fault on 3 cylinder 12 valve engines, is this correct? if so i can get parts at trade prices and i can possibly get a cheap one of those and an icv to put my mind at rest. thank you for replying btw
