Track Rod end Shaking Gearbox 1.0 12v 2000

Post by wo88les »

Hi im Rob, nice to meet you all :D

ok here goes, First of my car is a Corsa B 1.0 12v 2000 W reg

The speedo does not register speed correctly, it bounces all over, ALL LIGHTS ON DASH seem fine
Also the fuel guage is always at the bottom, i need to get in the back and check the sender unit i think :D

now for my real problem which i hope someone can advise me further

had the car to the garage, up on the ramps, apart from needing a rear shocker, i have a problem at the front of the car

The Offside Wheel, when spun makes the Track rod Shake the gearbox from side to side, its only a few mm but im just wondering if anyone can tell me off hand if its the Track Rod End is incorrect for my car or if it could be the gearbox to fault??

if you need any more info let me know :D the track rod end doesnt look as old as the one on the N/S so im guessing some numpty has replaced it in the past with the incorrect part, causing the movement on the Box

Thanks
