Auxillary belt and timing belt help needed

Hello i am going to be changing aux belt and timing belt soon. I have a 1.4 SOHC 8valve engine with power steering. To get to timing belt il have to remove engine mount bracket is there a easy way to do this with a regular jack as i dont have a engine hoist etc. Also haynes says to remove front tie bar is this neccessary as seems you have to buy new bolts for tie bar when they are removed. Also as far as timing belt goes any tips on fitting and tensioning new one and do you have to buy a special tool to turn waterpump to increase tension or will a spanner etc do:)
