Engine trouble
Ok so today I've discovered that the head gasket is on its way out I put in 4 litres of oil last week an it's gone. Took out the plugs and they had oil on them to...
Now the car has been fine all day until I took the plugs out... Since then it's like a miss-fire has began all though its fine through the rev range, but when your driving it its got a serious lack of power and acts like its missing.
I know it needs a new coil pack but can't anyone suggest anything or help out I'm at my wits end with it...

Re: Engine trouble
Did you clean them ? Probley distrubed the electrode, that just means its burning oil not headgasket failure and its an old vauxhall they all burn oil how often do you change the oil ?
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Re: Engine trouble
Top up the coolant again before jumping to any drastric conclusion.
The coolant could have been dead and burnt off, go to a garage with a sniffer if you think the HG is gone.
Put oil and coolant in and clean of all the oil from the engine, and put a bit of cardboard under the engine and run if for a while so you can see where its leaking

Re: Engine trouble
So it just blew the coolant valve , thats not to bad as long as you turned it off as soon as it happened
