12 v socket

P reg corsa. I have discovered that my car doesnt have a 12v socket and was wondering if it is supposed to have one? The hole is there beside the ashtray but there are no wires for it and am thinking the astray has been put in as a replacement. Reason i am asking is because i know not everycar had one back in the day.

The poverty spec corsa did not come standard with a cig lighter
Should just be a gromit which will pull out and the wires are taped up in the loom behind radio somwhere,
Its a simple 10 min job to retro fit one

It is a poverty spec i think lol. They wouldnt be up behind the heater controles would they as i cant seem to find the wires

Could be ive never had to look for it, but it is taped up somwhere close to the ashtray
