Exhaust diameter

Post by gazza_no7 »

Going to look at a 1.2L corsa b tomorrow and i am wondering what the internal diameter of the backbox is as i have a 3" sportex in my garage that i want to fit to it. The ID of that is 2" is this the correct size for it?

Thanks!

Think the pipe is the same diamiter as the 1.0 its just the way it runs down the car is different
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

I thought the 1.0 was completely different to the 1.2, 1.4, 1.6 as they are the same?

Quick mwasure of mine i got 45-50 mm diamiter i think its just the way the exhaust runs and the length of the mid pipe is different and goes over the back axle differently aswell

force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

If i get a chance tomorrow ill look it up on the computer and get the exact size of each, because 45 would be 1.75 and 50 is 2

Don't worry about it mate! Think I've sorted it :) can I use silicone sealant instead of exhaust putty to seal the joints? As I never seem to get a gas tight seal...
