Its not pressed in, when you take the drum off it will fall out but theres two rings inside the drum tjat need hammered out and in

Make sure to take the rubber seal off the hub as most people forget about it

when taking mine off. All bearings came out with drum just took rubber seal off took bearings out and replaced em put new bearings and grease bk in and job done! Really ur meant to change race when doing bearings but after carefully inspecting old ones they were fine i just put bk together. Surprising how often they do it like that in garages to save a few quid. Took me 15 mins to do nice and easy wee job! A mate got charged 75 bux for this at garage. Makes u wonder why mechanics never see the doh!

An old bearing case may look ok but is more than likly expanded as there always harder to take out, if your cutting corners on your own car even when the case comes with the kit, do not give out about mechanics, if you go to a cowboy for cheap labour thats up to you, but f**k you if your basically saying I cut corners because im f**k qualifyed

no dis respect to u intended. But i knw a few guys in garages 1 of which works at a vauxhall dealer and iv heard some of the corners he cuts as well as others in there! And makes u think how the f**k some f**k get in there!! Eg when i first got car gave it to vauxhall for simple wheel bearing adjustment. (Got it bk hme 7 mile) checked bolts on wheels to double check they were gd and the were litrally hand tight no where near 110 nm what they should be! As said no dis respect am sure ur gd at ur job. But some garages are robbing bastards.

Bit late but Forgot to check back but did mine myself, the larger bearing is pressed in one with its race, easily tapped out using a hammer and a large hole punch or screw driver, just use your old race as a shim when tapping your new one in, just don't tap it all the way use a screw driver and hammer to do the last bit as your old race we get stuck as well, just be careful not to slip and scratch the new race , easy job.
