Hi All,

I have a major problem with my corsa, it turns over fine an starts fine, when at idle the revs drop for a split second then return to normal, it sometimes over revs at idle and sometimes also nearly stalls itself at idle, when driving it is very hesitant and jolts a lot,i have in the last 2 days had it fully serviced, new coil pack, cleaned EGR valve out, new idle control valve and new exhaust middle and back, what could possible be wrong with it? the EML is on and I got it checked and it said Idle control valve blocked which I have now replaced as mentioned earlier, when revving and the revs drop I can hear a whistling noise coming from around the airbox area so could it just be a split hose or something?

Any help appreciated

Thanks

Check hoses for spilts, no way we can no if its spilt

Was icv genuine bosch or generic from motorfactors? Generic parts somtimes break as soon as its pluged in

hi johnny,
It was a genuine Bosch ICV, I had to replace this because when I accelerated it would not accelerate then all of a sudden it would jolt back into life and pull away, that is now resolved but now I have this issue which is very persistent

no I don't have opcom, I cleaned the throttle body today, and it now seem worse, the revs at idle are a lot higher and I also noticed smoke coming from where the clutch is, clutch was replaced less than a year ago so cant be that, I did notice earlier tho I unplugged the MAF sensor and tried to start the car and it would not start, plugged it back in and it started, could this be anything to do with it?
